Alicante Train Station – FGV
Alicante tourist information about the narrow gauge railway station – FGV
The narrow gauge Alicante train station is located close to the harbor at the end of the central Postiguet beach, several hundreds of meters away from the Hotel Melia. Here you can take a tram that goes to a nearby town of Campello, passing by long San Juan sand beach.
However, passengers usually take a tram not at the station, but at the first tram stop. The first tram stop is located at the very beginning of the Postiguet beach, about 20 meters behind the Hotel Melia.
There are four tram lines. Three of them start in Alicante: L-1 and L-3 from Mercado and L-4 from Puerta del Mar. Taking L-3 line you can go to Campello, while L-1 line communicates even further to Benidorm. Once you come to Benidorm, you can change to the line L-9 and travel to Altea, Calpe, and Denia. The tram ticket is cheap, depending on your final destination.
